Project Goal:
To support all Mitsubishi MUT-II(JOBD)/MUT-III and
Subaru SSM Protocol and Nissan datalogging protocol
Models
Note: Only US DSMs/Eclipse and US
EVO8/9 support the universal standard OBDII datalogging
tools. For japanese imports, other standard ISO9141
OBDII dataloggers will not work. EvoScan is what you
need, because it uses the MUT-III factory dealership
protocols. EvoScan still works with those US Models,
although better and faster than the universal standard
OBDII datalogging tools, since the Mitsubishi MUT-II(JOBD)
Protocol runs 50% faster than ISO9141-2! By changing a setting in your ecu, you can make the datalogging run 400% faster than ISO9141-2! I am working on supporting more than just Mitsubishi Vehicles, it will become compatable with Subarus, and all other Vehicles, and will work with Diagnostic Trouble Codes, and Emissions testing protocols.
Using the alerting features of EvoScan could alert
you to a bad tune or bad fuel, i.e Detonation Knock
Counts, Temperatures, A/F ratios and potentially saving
you your engine.

Customer Feedback (Over 1,000 satisfied PayPal customers!)
Your product is the 1st working scantool! ( I tried the ELM before, it was useless and slow )
It is logging a lot of important things.
Keep on doing the GOOD work, -Wijnand.
It is an
awesome program I would be lost without it.
Thank you, -Andy.
Thanks for an awesome program :)
-Erik.
You are offering the software for 25 bucks when others charge hundreds. I have looked at the software and thats like the freegin deal of the century. I work for Worldspeed Motorsports, we are the west coast dealer for Pro Formula Mazda, Motec and many other things. I have also tuned with DSM link, motec etc. and basicly your selling something between dsm link and motec, for way less than $1500(like the autronic or aem systems),
-Patrick.
WOW you answer my email so fast!!!!! impresive!! thank you i love evoscan!!!
-Antonio.
I've been using EvoScan for more than a year now and its the best tuning tool ever. I'm not a tuner and yet tuned my evo to 330whp and 327tq on 93 oct using your usb cable product combined with EcuFlash and a Wideband sensor.

Requirements:
EvoScan/EcuFlash/OpenPort 1.3U Requires installation of USB FTDI drivers
(installed with ecuflash, or EvoScan will auto install them if no drivers found on logging)
Otherwise you'll get this message: FTD2XX.DLL missing
you can manually install the Evoscan USB drivers: from C:\program files\evoscan\EvoScan v2.6\USB Drivers\x86\DPinst.exe /i
ELM327 USB Cable Drivers and Software: Download Here
Requires installation of Microsoft
.NET Framework v2.0 (its not installed by default on WindowsXP, but it is installed by default in Windows Vista)
Otherwise you'll get this message: "The application
failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135)." - to
fix install MS .NET Framework v2.0
Basically if the laptop can run Windows fine, then
the EvoScan software will also run.
The EvoScan software runs really
fast, even on 300Mhz machines.
To get maximum speed on EvoScan:
- Disable Log To Screen, and Enable Logging Superspeed, run a power inverter
in your car for your laptop to get full speed cpu from your laptop (Less effect is noticed on 2.0Ghz laptops with a/c
power, but slower laptops or laptops running off the
battery benefit a lot of speed with these settings)
Troubleshooting Connection Issues:
Symptom: Ecuflash works, but EvoScan doesn't connect for datalogging.
Common Cause: EvoScan Datalogging requires very strict timing requirements to connect to the ECU datalogging system, whereas reflashing does not need specific timing requirements. Datalogging is very timer sensitive in the initialization phase.
Solution A: Most common cause is Power Saving Mode on EeePC laptops, and should be disabled.
Solution B: Another cause is that some laptops ecu's can not provide a stable timer, this is also noticable in some high end games that fail to work - well the same goes with EvoScan. here is the link that discusses the /UsePMTimer windows flag
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/895980

Solution C:

Right-click PerfEnablePackageIdle, and then click Modify.
In the Value data box, type 0.
Make sure that Hexadecimal is selected in the Edit DWORD Value dialog box, and then click OK.
Note You can type 1 in the Value
data box to enable the new performance state policy behavior.

Solution D:
Task Manager -> process -> right click (the evoscan process) -> processor Affinity
Then try untick one of the cpus.
Known EvoScan Issues as at EvoScan v2.7 beta4 18th Sept 2009: this list will be updated weekly, as they are considered highest priority.
OBDII 96+ datalogging doesn't seem to connect using openport 1.3u (only op 2.0 cable for this OBDII option, MUTII datalogging is still fine)
AYC/ABS Actuators for Evo7/8/9 don't seem to connect.
Evo1/2/3 seem to use a special ecu, and support is work in progress.
PLX wideband is work in progress.
Read / Clear DTC for EvoX is work in progress.
Request Eval Formulas used for CAN OBDII and EvoX (non mode23) datalogging formulas needsome reviewing(fixing/updating).
